DONALD COOPER AUSTRALIA

MEengst. Master of Engineering  Western Australia University

MIEAust. Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia

Cpeng. Chartered Engineer

ABOUT DONALD COOPER

Donald Cooper retired in 2014 from mainstream engineering practice to live and work on a 2.8 hectare hobby farm in the Blackwood valley in south west WA. He remains strongly interested and active in engineering innovation. In particular addressing sustainable energy production in relation to the current Climate Change.

As an Chartered Engineer he is globally recognised and recognised by the community, industry and Government as a high level professional. He is actively promoting the vortex engine, relating to enhancing convection within the troposphere.

The vortex engine has been the subject of two previous presentations to I.E.Aust., and was also presented at the finals of the China Shenzhen Innovation Competition of International Talents held in Sydney in April 2016.

The Need for an Atmospheric Vortex Engine (AVE) : ‘first aid’

The phenomenon of global warming has a very great inertia. Just like an oil tanker, it reacts very slowly to steering movements. It is very difficult to determine the right course, given the enormous amount of interacting and entangled parameters and knowledge gaps that have to be filled up. And last but not least : the international complexity of political, social en economical demands.

WORLD ENERGY DEMAND

The demand for energy is increasing non-linear with the growth of the world population. At this time our civilisation generates about around 20 TW.

Only 0.2 TW is generated by the use of wind, photovoltaic and bio-energy.

The potential however is estimated on 8500 TW what would be more then enough to d meet human energy needs.

GROUNDWATER DEPLETION IS ACCELERATING

Groundwater is the largest reservoir of freshwater.

People depend on it for agriculture and their daily lives. Groundwater depletion has become a serious issue for many years, as it is used up faster than it can be recharged
